JETSKI RENTAL FAQ
1. What is Required to Rent a Jet-Ski?
- Copy of Drivers License
- Your Email & Phone Number
- MI BOATING LICENSE (If under 47)
- $100 Reservation/Damage Deposit (Per Jet-ski)
- Signed Rental agreement
This info is required from each OPERATOR, NOT passengers.
2. I Don’t have a MI Boating License, can I still rent a Jet-Ski?
-If you are under 47 you are LEGALLY required to have a MI Boating License
-You can obtain a LIFETIME boating license ONLINE at ilearntoboat.com for $30
-Anyone over the age of 47 with experience boating is not required to provide one
-If you do not have a license it is a $500 ticket to the operator, as well as me for providing a jet-ski, and a misdemeanor on your record
3. How do I get a Michigan Boating License?
-You can obtain a LIFETIME Michigan Boating License at ilearntoboat.com or boat-ed.com, there are multiple other avenues as well.
-If you have a boating license but lost proof of it, you can go to the DNR website and receive a digital copy, they are lifetime.
4. How Does the Rental Work?
After all of your information is received, contract signed, and deposit received; you decide between me delivering, launching, and picking up the jet-ski(s) OR you picking up the jet-ski on a trailer and transporting it to the lake of your choosing.
5. Are Life-Jackets/Accessories Provided?
Yes! You can take as many life-jackets as desired to make sure all riders have a proper fitting one.
You will also be provided with 2 Boat bumpers, a Anchor, a Emergency Whistle, and dock straps
6. Can I take them overnight/ “up-north” ?
Yes! Overnight rentals are permitted, as well as discounted for multi-day. You MUST either have a dock accessible at the location, or be willing to launch them yourself everyday. (You are responsible for safe storage during your rental, any dock rash and damages occurred will be charged accordingly)
7. Are Deposits Refundable due to Cancellation?
Yes! They are 100% refundable 7 days prior to rental, 50% refund within 48 hours of rental, and 0% refund if within 24 hours of said rental.
8. How far do you deliver?
Anything within the Metro Detroit region is $50. IE: Lake St. Claire, Cass Lake, Union Lake, Pontiac Lake, etc.
We do provide delivery to places like Torch Lake, Houghton Lake, Lake Michigan, etc. Prices vary based on duration of rental, and quantity of jet-skis being rented.
9. How many jet-skis can I rent at once?
We have Six jet-skis currently available for rent, we provide single, dual, and quad place jet-ski trailers.
Locally we can provide 6 simultaneously, long distance only 4. Due to not having a 6 place trailer…yet.
